Heri (“Queen of beauty”) — a premium mobile application dedicated to conscious hair care, offering highly personalized routines tailored to individual user needs.

Born from passion and expert trichology knowledge, the project was built entirely on a foundation of comprehensive UX research to uncover the real, daily struggles of hair care enthusiasts.

The core challenge

Overcoming routine fatigue

The primary challenge was removing the cognitive load of analyzing complex cosmetic ingredients and manually planning hair-washing schedules. The hair care market is incredibly overwhelming; users do not want to spend hours educating themselves — they need immediate, clear, and effortless answers.

UX research outcomes: unexpected discoveries

The counter-intuitive insight

The most surprising finding was that — contrary to popular internet templates and “hair gurus” advocating for detailed hair care journals — users heavily resisted documenting their results.

User behavior

Instead of meticulous tracking, users relied almost entirely on trial and error. They instantly abandoned any routine, app, or tool that demanded extra effort, complex manual logging, or deep data entry.

A smart onboarding tool that instantly diagnoses hair type, condition, porosity, and preferences. A few intuitive questions let the system automatically build a customized care plan — completely eliminating the guesswork.

The Plan

A clean, highly visual washing calendar with clear, step-by-step instructions. It dynamically recommends the exact cosmetic properties needed that day — emollients, humectants, or proteins — alongside brief video tutorials to minimize friction.

The Products

A curated e-commerce and inventory space displaying products that match the user's generated care plan. Verified reviews from peers with identical hair profiles streamline the path to confident purchasing decisions.

Visual identity & UI

Premium & calm aesthetics

The interface features a muted, nature-inspired palette dominated by deep botanical greens and soft, comforting beiges. This direction establishes an immediate sense of calm, cleanliness, and clinical expertise.

Editorial typography

Combining an elegant serif for editorial headings with a clean, high-legibility sans-serif for technical properties reinforces Heri's dual identity: a luxurious yet deeply expert beauty authority.
